First Login and Initialization

If BeaverDeck has not been initialized, the login page is replaced by an initialization screen. Enter the initial admin username and password. After successful initialization, BeaverDeck stores the auth configuration in its Kubernetes Secret and enables normal login.

  1. Open the BeaverDeck URL provided by your administrator.
  2. If the initialization screen appears, set the initial admin username and password.
  3. After initialization, sign in with the local account or a configured Google/OIDC provider.
No bootstrap token: the reviewed application does not use a one-time token from pod logs. It asks for the initial admin username and password directly in the UI.
Permissions: the initial account receives an admin-mode role and therefore has all BeaverDeck permissions. Additional users should be assigned least-privilege roles from User Management.
